Lenses
- Sigma 16mm f/1.4 : A great lens for any talking-head-style content, this lens gives you a nice wide shot with a beautifully blurry background. Get one.
- Rokinon 24mm f/1.8 : Our most used lens these days is our 24mm by Rokinon. This lens is versatile and portable, and captures great video and photos. Get one.
- Sony 85mm f/1.8 : We love our 85mm lens for those tighter shots with a more compressed background to really make your subject standout. This lens is great for portraits or a tight shot for video. Get yours.
- Tamron 35-150mm f/2.0-2.8 : This is the closest thing we have to an all-in-one lens. With a great reach from your wide 35mm shots to a close 150mm, all with a an aperture as low as f/2.0, we end up reaching for this one all the time. Get yours.
Editing
- Davinci Resolve Studio : We are huge fans of Davinci Resolve for all of our post-production work. You can do a TON of work on the free version (more than any other free platform we've ever seen), but the Studio version definitely delivers (especially for a one-time fee). - Davinci Resolve Speed Editor : If you're working on Davinci Resolve and want to speed up your workflow, this is a must-have piece of hardware. As the name implies, it does a great job of helping you edit with speed. Grab one HERE and get a Studio license with your purchase.
Podcasting
- Zoom PodTrak P4 : One of our favorite ways to create content is through podcasting, and this is the audio interface we're loving right now. It's simple to use, easy to travel with, works like a charm, and is very affordable for a quality interface that can support up to four XLR mics, a cell phone, and even has sound pads to up your podcast game. - Samson Q2U : Paired with our Zoom interface, we love these mics for high quality audio that doesn't break the bank. This is definitely a hard mic to beat without upping your budget drastically.
- Zoom ZDM-1 : HERE is another great option for your podcast setup. It looks great, it sounds great, and it'll be a great addition to your setup.
